　　stage even if it does not qualify for the competition through its domestic

　　a) If the titleholder comes from an association entitled to four places in the

　　UEFA Champions League and qualifies for the UEFA Europa League through its domestic competitions, the lowest-ranked club of the association’s UEFA Champions League representatives is automatically transferred to the UEFA Europa League (into the latest possible round where there is a vacancy). In this case, the number of places to which the titleholder's association is entitled in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League does not change.

　　representatives is automatically transferred to the UEFA Europa League

　　(into the latest possible round where there is a vacancy). In this case, the

　　association of the titleholder is entitled to one additional place in the

　　UEFA Europa League.

　　Champions League representative(s). In this case, the combined number

　　of places to which the titleholder's association is entitled in the UEFA

　　Champions League and UEFA Europa League does not change.

　　representative(s). In this case, the association of the titleholder is entitled

　　to one additional place in the UEFA Champions League.

　　欧足联在欧冠席位的分配上，本就给卫冕冠军0或1个席位，按 @空门打飞的规则计算进行避让，这个特别名额是唯一不受本国联赛排名影响的存在。欧足联既然制订了这个规则，那么应该考虑了这种情况，支持了卫冕冠军的参赛。

　　欧冠上尚无先例，但是2011年伯明翰胜阿森纳夺联赛杯后降级，2013年维冈胜曼城夺足总杯后降级，之后两队都参加了来年欧联杯的赛事。作为同一协会欧足联下属的比赛，精神及原则应该是一样的：即降级不会影响到欧足联对欧冠、欧联参赛资格规则的施行。

　　如果没记错的话，能够在同一年拿到欧冠同时该年降级，有一队曾经试过，就是欧冠改制后的第一个冠军得主马赛，当年为了留力踢欧冠决赛同时也为了保住联赛冠军，在最后一轮法甲联赛买通对手，结果被发现降级，之后那个赛季，联赛第二的摩纳哥代替马赛参加了欧冠联赛

　　至于正常情况，还没有发生，到目前为止，欧冠冠军当季联赛排名最低的是切尔西，1112赛季欧冠冠军，联赛第六

　　在05年利物浦夺得欧冠之后，欧足联也重新制定了准入标准，卫冕欧冠冠军可以参加下一赛季的欧冠，联赛排名也不用管，但是欧冠名额不能超过四个。

　　这个赛季开始欧联杯冠军也可以参加欧冠了，而且这个貌似不占用联赛名额？欧足联真是会制造矛盾。。。
